too early in fact to check in, so i ducked around the corner & to my surprise Bonham's were already open, so i spent the next one & a half hours with Arno on a very personal (hands on) tour of some of the most significant pieces in the auction. The quality & pedigree of the watches are breath taking, but after leaving the display room i'm most prominantly struck by Arno's good nature & easy going peronality.
Thankyou so much Arno for your insight & time, i feel more than ever, this auction is going to be a huge success on so many levels for who participate.

So its a beautiful summers day here in Melbourne, but it's hard not
: to wish that I was in cold, wet London....even when my boys are
: 1-0 down in the Ashes (there is truly no worse place to be than
: the UK when the English are beating us in anything)

: Hard to believe that it was May 2008 when a group of us first met
: up in Switzerland- Arno, Jasper, Jan, Abel, Ron Maarten and
: Fabrizio. It truly was a great experience, not just because of
: the TAG Heuer hospitality, but because of the chance to turn a
: "virtual" hobby into something real and meet the
: people behind the screen names.

: On behalf of all of us who can't be there, I hope that those going
: to the dinner have a truly great night tonight (its already
