As long as the case isn't polished to a mirror finish (which we've seen a few times on these), and there is no water damage, I think I can live with any amount of scratches on these - the dial's the star. I have an NOS never-mounted blue CdG dial in case I come across one with a less than ideal dial, the barrels need a good dial to shine.
Just remember, long cuffs whilst driving, the play of light on the dial can be terribly distracting!
