My best advice for you is if it doesn't come with a recent service history then get a specialist to look at it. Its always reassuring with Monaco's to know that the cases have been opened recently and the gasket checked & naturally any Cal.11/12 runs smoother after service.
I would place this watch on a nice dark strap - corfam or leather and a tasteful 16mm re-issue Heuer buckle.
