Jeff/All
I do not normally comment on the for sale discussions but since it was one of mine I will break the rule !!
I bought this one a while ago from Europe from a dealer that I have bought a number of my collection, I too had not seen the diver in the flesh so was a bit perturbed.
I have referenced the ones OTD and as shown in the pics Jeff posted and the bezel & insert match exactly and the hands are correct for this model.(You just cannot see the notches on this photo)
The last step was the case which has the serial nos and case ref between the lugs, I then showed it to a recognised Heuer dealer in London who also confirmed that the case was correct and only ever used for the diver model. So I was convinced.
The only thing I am worried about is that the pics when blown up OTD make it look a lot worse condition than it actually is. I am selling because my collection is growing and growing and when I compared to my GMT's and Viceroys I just knew it would be a 2nd choice wear for me.
As a final point if anyone from OTD contacts me before & then decides to buy and is not 100% happy then they are free to retn the watch.
As they say all publicity is good publicity
