: I've a really nice Quartz 1000m Heuer diver & I'm considering
: retro-fitting an ETA auto movement into it.
: It runs fine, but it's not setting the date as it should. Now, I
: could source another Quartz movement (I'm sure I have a spare
: somewhere!), but I think that the auto would be better move all
: round.
: Would you consider this to be a bad thing? I'm all for keeping our
: Heuers original, but I don't think that this is a bad idea at
: all.
: Any thoughts?

Stewart,
If you can carry out the swap yourself, you could always just put the quartz movement safely away and re-fit it if you ever need to sell it.
Or you could just fit a new quartz movement and not need to keep setting the time every so often.... :)
What were you thinking eta 2824-2 replacement??....i suspect the hand hole sizes would be different.
Regards,
James.
