: I can post photo's soon.
: I have trawled all the Heuer brochures & never seen mention of
: the model.
: I am in two minds about this watch. At the time i was convinced it
: was a rare dedicated model but over the past couple of years i
: have come to think of the watch as a genuine orange boy with a
: different bezel (after market OR Heuer) in place.
: I'd like to be proven wrong but my call is orange boy.
: I will post quality photo's in the next day or two wth focus on the
: bezel.
: Cheers - Darren
Great stuff Darren,
Would be good to see the pics, the reason i am interested is i have recently bought a nos bezel and decompression bezel.
It is definately for an 1163 as the inside diameter is 33mm which is designed to fit the plexi crystal of the 1163 Autavia's.
The 11630 mineral crystal is 32mm outside diameter therefore leaving a gap of 1mm between crystal and insert.
I don't doubt the authenticity of the insert but wondered what model it is for?. The generic inserts i've seen on ebay are'nt decompression inserts, never have been...which if this insert is generic then surely they would be readily available. The quality and fit also suggest they are'nt generic.
Its a bit of a mystery for sure......
Thanks,
James.
