And then there's the realization that their NOS watch won't be NOS for long once they strap it on and enjoy it. If they want it to remain NOS, then they can put it in a case and look at it, in which case it won't need a service as it won't be used. But if they use it, no matter how careful they are, it's going to show use. Once it does, it's no longer NOS.
Cars are meant to be driven. Watches are meant to be worn. NOS will be wonderful, but only for that first day. After that, it's just a great watch to be enjoyed the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
