I know what you mean about the great "runners" . . . a watch that will stay on time, day after day.
In terms of it being home-made, I am all for that . . . the Seiko guys seem to call them "Mods"; some fancy folks call them "Bespoke"; skeptics would call them "Frankens"; others might call them "Custom-Made". Whatever we call them, as long as everyone knows what we are looking at, and the disclosure is clear to any prospective purchaser, then I think they are great!
