Interesting....It seems that every time that Mr. Stein posts an auction result or any kind of reference to dash timers, there is none to very little response. There is only one way to look at this;no one cares. But, the prices keep going up, so, no one HERE cares. Not long ago, I posted an entry about a certain timer. It wasn't very user friendly to access a description, it was Ebay item #390344638103. It is very unique and it belonged to a well known personality at the Speedway in May during a very exciteing era. It has solid documentation of it's presence on the pit wall. Alas, the post did not yield a single comment.
Heuer as a company produced an amazing variety of watches appealing to many tastes in the 60's/early 70's. This really touches on a collectors instinct to have "one in every color". My interests begin and end in Valjoux 72 powered Autavias and Carreras and motorsports timing in the car and on the pit wall. Makes for a bland collection but I really like the posts concerning these, so, keep posting, Jeff! This is a wonderful site, let's pay homage to it's name from time to time.
