Well, we are approaching the end of 2011, so let’s have a spontaneous Scan Day (or maybe a Scan Week) with the theme, “Best of 2011”. We didn’t have a Heuer-themed auction this year, and we didn’t have a major Get-Together, and it wasn’t an anniversary year for TAG Heuer, but somehow, I am still believing that we had a great year as a community. We had lots of activity on this forum; lots of smaller get-togethers; many new participants and friendships; a new book covering the Monacos; new blogs and people selling Heuers: and some great watches all along the way.
So let’s have a Scan Week to mark the very best of 2011. Think back through the year and share some photos showing:
- your favorite watch purchase of the year
- a restoration that turned out well
- a strap, bracelet, box, display or other accessory that you are enjoying
- some photos from a dinner or meeting with another enthusiast (or maybe a rendezvous to see some watches)
- your favorite discovery from Heuer’s history
- your favorite new serial number
- your favorite photo (or photo set-up)
We will start at the first minute of 2012, wherever you may be located, and run this event through Friday the 12th. So review your calendar, get out your camera, search your hard-drive and e-mail, and share whatever made 2011 a great year for you.
As always, you can go off-topic, and show us a favorite family event, your new house, your new spouse, etc.
