Well, it's been quite a year for me. I've managed to pic up some lovely Heuers that I've lusted after for a while. But sometimes, it's the ones that you don't lust after that surprise the hell out of you... David's AMI is one such watch. I remember seeing his ad in the trader section. I clicked on it, and clicked away, not really interested. A week or so passed and I had another look.. and after a few mails to & from David, it's in my hands.
What I love about it is what might put some off. It's a 'built' watch.. made for David, by the 'US master', I think it has more meaning to me, than if it had been a factory made issued watch, if that makes sense, as it has a clear connection with this forum, and the people who keep these old Heuer running. So, thanks for letting it go D, it's very special.
