I apologies - Re: confused?
In Response To: confused? ()

Dear Albi (Museum), Paolo, Mick and Jeff

I am really sorry to have caused this confusion. In my files relating to the Orange Boy I have a picture of a cal. 11-I. But now that Albi questioned my claim I went through my data again, and I realise that the cal. 11 picture does not belong to the Orange Boy.

The picture shows the movement in this 1163 HM http://www.heuerwatches.net/Autavia_1163_HM.html

When I sold the Orange Boy on eBay I used this text:
The case is ref. 1163 meaning it is the first generation of automatic Heuer chronographs. The serial number is 2422XX. I believe this watch is dating from 1970 or -71.
Crown is Heuer signed and the pushers are the correct fluted type.
The movement is the famous caliber 12. It is the movement ........................bla bla bla

My sincerely apology
Peter, Denmark
