Jeff few thoughts:
-Heuersprices grow quite dramatic, believe awareness is up and prices were very low comparing to reeditions 5 yrs ago.
-Consistent marketing of tag boosts tendency..
-New old stock pieces are increasingly rare to find and often are sold to the collectors world prior hitting ebay.
-Dealers are more interested in rare heuers hence more different channels are searching...
-auction houses are selling heuers in top end locations as monaco or gstaad=image boost
-the older models are very detailed and colorful, charismatic, detailed =visual/recognition boost, the movements are interesting and there is a damn lot research to do until you can say you understand the huge portfolio of vintage heuers, =a fab product hook we have 'swallowed'
-strong brand ambassadors are an additional twist=steve, joe, clay, niki...
-well known individual productnames are a strong success factor=as carreras, autavias, silverstones, monacos, montreals and lately the classic styled veronas,daytonas...
-recent fakes or put together stuff are other indicators of the growing awarness...
