During the day today, as I have been thinking about your discussion topic, I have also been thinking about what it would be like to own and drive a very rare, low production sports car, from the 1960s.
Here is an AC 428 Frua . . . total production was 80 cars, with 51 fastbacks and 29 of the convertibles. The parts for the movement (Ford 428 engine) are plentiful, but what about the body and interior? Could you ever be comfortable driving this in traffic or on a track? What happens when it is hit by the SUV or mini-van? How would you have it repaired?
Not directly on point, but seems somewhat related.
