I'd still reckon it's a combination of 1960s colour reproduction, retouching the photo and then subsequently scanning it. I haven't seen original black hands on a first gen Carrera before - the only ones I can think of at all are the ones on 110.253 G and .255 that also have lengthy lume inserts.
