Breaking Bad's on tonight and I'd guess we'll see more of the Monaco. There was an obvious mention of it in last week's episode ("Nice watch" from his DEA agent brother in law, but Walt can't tell him that it was a gift from his meth-cooking partner.)
I know we've got some car guys around here, and I love the "car casting" on Breaking Bad.
The Meth king of the Southwest drives a Pontiac Aztek.
His partner, a Toyota Tercel.
Their boss? An older Volvo station wagon.
His fixer? An old Dodge Diplomat with the cushy maroon velour seats (which alternates with a Buick Regal.)
Everyone's very careful not to flaunt their cash, and the watch (along with the new cars introduced in the same ep) is one of the first times they violate that rule.
And as Jeff pointed out, on Breaking Bad, everything happens for a reason. Enjoy
: LOL I remember noticing that one as well when I saw the movie - I
: tend to be very careful about overall features of movies set in
: the past ( say from the 50s onwards) such as clothes, cars, and
: other items that change quickly over time. That TH Monaco was a
: real disappointment in a film I liked.
: Cheers
