Amazing photos and interesting that the federal government (Farm Services Administration) actually dispatched photographers to document the impact of the Depression on American life. I'm not sure the federal government is undertaking thsi sort of project in the current era.
I was interested in the photographers, as I had only heard of one of them (Russell Lee). If you share my curiosity, you can read more about the photographers here:
