Re: Crown seals....
In Response To: Crown seals.... ()

I have been wondering the same thing. I was able to get a 2.15 x 0.75 mini o-ring from an assorment in the crown of my Autavia and 1.7 x 0.5 mini o-ring in the pushers. I left the movement out and it passed the static bucket test. I'm going to stop by my local watchmaker that I'm sort of learning from and have him pressure test it for me. I will let you know the results.

I'm not ready to go diving with it but at the very least I know that the the watch is safe from rain, handwashing, etc.

: Does anyone have a source for replacement crown seals for the
: Autavia 1163 and similar. I get a lot of requests to replace
: this now, especially the ones that have turned to
: "goop". I looked at some of my other new unsigned WP
: crowns but they did not a similar type of seal. Removing the
: retainer washer off the back is tough on these so any
: suggestions on the best way to do this would also be
: appreciated. Thanks, Craig
