Re: Crown seals....
I think that I could have put two in but I really didn't think about it. I was able to get it in with the cap/retaining washer and stem still in place. It took a little bit of playing around but I got it in there and seated correctly. On my crown I was lucky that all of the old seal was gone, so I didn't have to dig it out. I got the seals from Ofrei or Esslinger, I can't remember. It is a mini o-ring gasket assorment for crowns. I will check later when I'm at home.

: The depth of the space for a seal in the Autavia (1163 as an
: example) crown is 1.5mm so you would probably need 2 o-rings of
: the size you are using to make a good seal?
: I am working on this and will post a solution when I find it. I
: have not found a used crown with a good seal in it yet but it
: appears that it must be a tube shape of 2 o-rings to make a
: proper seal. Removing the retainer washer on the back side of
: the crown causes so much damage to it that I have had to make a
: replacement washer for the 2 I have taken apart so it would be
: best if the seals can be installed without removing this washer.
: Please let me know where you got the seals that you used? Thanks
