I don't know whether any of the Katun executives have kept their watches, but they seem to be making their way into the hands of Sinn enthusiasts. I'd have been happy to buy the "Straight" Sinn variant or a Bell & Ross version, but the Katun's seem to have the right combination of features, availability/exclusivisity and price that had me going that way. Of course if you hadn't told me of your quest, I might not have ever seriously considered one. I'm really liking this one so far.
I am still loving mine. It's the "home from work, change into something comfortable" chrono. The excellent luminous makes it a great nighttime watch; the movable GMT hand provides a "direct read" of a second time zone, which actually seems easier than reading the second time zone off the bezel; I guess it'd depend on the bezel... If you had a pressing need to know the 24-hour time for schedules, then a 24-Hour bezel would be preferred, but for average ordinary use the second hand would probably be better.
the titanium is a good "casual" color. I believe Titanium evokes a more sophisiticated, technological and alluring atmosphere around the watch. A really good brushed Stainless Steel can do the same (Fortis does a pretty good job on brushed Stainless, but after owning several Titanium watches, Stainless aways seems a little "bright" "Sunny" "Cold" "flashy" compared to the more quiet, muted, dusky and subtile Titanium gray.
Jeff Cheers!
