Great research & very well presented Paul

Thankyou Paul for your presentation - clear descriptions & comparisons made it all the more entertaining.

I regret my only physical encounter with one of these cases was a few years ago & i assumed it was a genuine watch which had been re-cased due to the lack of bevels on the lugs & lack of serial number - i opted not to purchase the watch due to this anomaly. Since then i have noted 3 or 4 further examples online, all of them would be what we consider 3rd execution dials with the narrower bezel.
It was quite a surprise when the TZ-UK one popped up with an early dial & wider bezel in place. No really clear answer at to why that would occur but at least your article has outlined a close serial range for the uncut lug specimens.
