Hi Jeff!
Autavias 1163 serials 245xxx and Autavias 11630 serial 259xxx to 260xxx circa was produced in the same period: end of 1972.
So you can see some strange things on these watches:
1163 with 11630 full lume hands (WOB and OB)
11630 WOB with orange viceroy style hands
1163 GMT with 11630 full lume hands
dials that appears on 1163 and 11630 (wob)
The 11630 P Autavia production started in 1972... our reasoning and watches that we have studied confirm the validity of this watch, rare and beautiful.
Ciao
P
: Thank you so much for confirming the authenticity of this great
: looking watch.
: One question, Please. You wrote, "11630 259xxx to 260-261xxx
: got 1163 viceroy style hands and dials..." Are you
: referring to the usual 11630, that we see with the normal
: Viceroy look -- brushed steel hands and Tachymeter bezel? I
: believe that we also see the MH bezel (and a dial with orange
: accents in this serial number range). Is this correct? I wonder
: what is the usual range for 11630 P (decompression bezel)?
: Thanks,
: Jeff
