I would say disappointing would be the right word. I don't usually sell, but if I did, I would imagine it would be tough to allow an auction to continue when you see the bid amounts are low. There is a high possibility that last minute bidders can move that number up significantly, but it is a HUGE risk. Since the seller can't back out at that point, they prefer to yank the auction completely. It sucks, I have had that happen to me MANY times, but I the word I think of in these scenarios are "disappointing".
