I few days ago, I pointed out a Skipper offered for sale at $7,350, and another of the same model that had been sold at a local auction house for $3,000 (final price, including buyers premium). HERE is that posting.
Well, can you guess which one I bought? That's right, the $3,000 bargain and it arrived today.
And if I made the right choice in the watches, what about the straps? All three are from James, at db10 -- http://db10straps.tumblr.com/ -- but did I choose the right one?
Wishing everyone a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!!
Jeff
And, of course, there are a couple of Instagram versions . . .

: Wearing the first Heuer I ever bought, my Carrera 1153S which was
: an impulse buy a few years ago, at the time I did not really
: know much about this model, and I still love it, particularly
: the way sunlight plays across the fabulous metallic dial finish.
: It is also the only one of my watches that consistently draws
: favourable comments when I wear it, in my opinion one of the
: most underrated watches in the Heuer pantheon. Excuse the
: reflections.Have a great weekend.
