This is certainly outrageous if true but this brand was off of the collector radar a long time ago. I have owned several vintage 60's and 70's Movados including the wonderful Zenith ELP variety. I have a pretty good friend who was one of their Master Watchmakers in New York from the '80s through the 90's. They came to a fork in the road and took the wrong path when they started selling their goods in discount stores. The only good thing about the brand now is that sometimes you can pick up the nice old watches at under value because the pawn shop owners relate them to the recent junk.
