Another Episode of Pass the Trash -- Damaged Seafarer

We watched this one a few months ago when it was listed for sale by Crown & Caliber, first at $7,000 and then at $6,000. Here is our discussion.

Now, we see this same watch listed on "Man of the World", at $8,150 -- Man of the World listing.

I was contacted by the owner last summer, before it moved into the dealer channel, and estimated the value at $3,000. Significant damage to the dial; hands have been replaced (with the original ones impossible to find).

I am guessing that if this one gets one more pass to another dealer, we may see the listing price break the $10,000 mark. But who would possibly buy the thing at this kind of price? Another dealer, I suppose. Or perhaps a "Lifestyle" buyer who trusts the dealer? Someone too lazy to do the research?
