Interesting analogy, have Siffert models plateaued?

Bernard,

This is an interesting analogy, and I think appropriate. I am wondering if the 1163 Siffert market has perhaps plateaued or is reaching one (at least for now). Looking at various web-sites, there are several options out there if someone wanted one. I counted 5 between two sites this am. These range in price from $9800 - $12,000 (on average). There was a time, no too long ago when you couldn’t find one. If I recall, one even went as high as $14K (it had the “Pawn Stars” pronounce I believe). Clearly, seller, generation and condition all play a large part in the price, but those who can afford, do not appear to be jumping on what is available. Perhaps this is just my perception (and I may be incorrect of course), but thought it interesting to put out there and see what the more experienced members of the community feel about this.

Best - Jeff
