Hi Darren - I too lament and miss the good old days of ebay and I only started looking 6 years ago. I can only imagine what went on before then.
I think ebay fees have put off many sellers but saying that I'm sure there are and will continue to be the type of items you are referring to just less in number and a LOT more lookers.
Now off to ebay to see if I can find some luck
