Hi Gambba-thanks for your message-it sounds like we've had a similar calling! Prior to finding Heuer my daily wearer for 15 years was my Omega Seamaster, as per Tomorrow Never Dies etc. I wonder if your briefcase contained diamonds and dynamite also? ;-)
Your Submariner would have to be a vintage '60s of course......good luck!!!

: Congrats on the watches and you clearly knew what you wanted and
: like you I found myself unexpectedly at Heuer divers, and all
: through the old motorsports connections and then always having a
: thing for divers (courtesy of Mr. Bond).
: I love the fill lume divers, and a 42mm (Jumbo) will at some point
: be "required" to join my other Heuer divers and
: complete the set, so to speak. I grew up with James Bond and he
: inspired many bond-esque things throughout the years starting
: with the aluminium Samsonite briefcase (The same as the one from
: Die Another Day) I bought for my first office job.
: Following that was the love of fine accessories such as pens etc.
: and then finally venturing into my first decent watch, a brand
: new Omega Aqua Terra which was only a bond watch in brand, but
: it was financially as close as I could get to a Bond watch at
: the time...but the modern version was Bonds in Skyfall, so maybe
: I was simply ahead of the curve :D
: It's probably this influence that drives me towards a submariner as
: well :o
