A lot of people including me think that if you gave Justin Wilson a top flight car in any racing series he would have been as good as anyone who ever drove. Like me he was handicapped by being tall. Minardi built a car to fit him in 2003 but without the money and without a major sponsor he only lasted one year in F1. He and his team won the 24 hours of Daytona in 2012. As an CART and IndyCar driver he won and finished on the podium in the good cars and the bad cars. He knew how to get the most out of any equipment.
He was also as good a guy as we have ever had in the paddock. He was a good son, husband and father. He will be missed by a lot of people this weekend in Sonoma. Rest in peace Justin Wilson.
