: So - I feel very lucky to own this watch (picture below). I bought
: it many years ago.
: It's the exact same watch (not a similar watch - but the very same)
: used as the 'B sample' in the 'On The Dash' examples of 1940's
: to 1950's Moon phase, triple date chrono's.
: As you can see, it's quite different to the other examples, which
: have the pronounced 'advance' buttons at 8 o'clock and 10
: o'clock. The dial is also more 'simplified' particularly on sub
: dials.
: Mine is 18kt gold and in pristine condition.
: As a matter of interest, any expert ideas on current value ?
I don`t think. its genuine
1. faked dial, look the date numbers, the numbers are all perpendicular
- no open "6" and "9", - 2. subdials to small
2. case number 62811 to low. to early, this is a case for a Valjoux 72C movement, not for a Valjoux 88
3. the small pushers on the left side of the case to small, this is typical for a Valjoux 72C case, not for a Valjoux 88 case
4. movement No. 405487 is to early for a Valjoux 88, its a bridge of an earlier Valjoux 72 or 23
