Re: the only genuine Heuer triple calendar chronographs with

: Thanks for your reply.
: I appreciate your input and your opinion.
: However, I maintain my belief in the 'On The Dash' photos and
: support for my watch.
: I understand your comments about age, but you are saying that the
: movement is too early but the case might be 1980's.
: As I understand it, the Valjoux 72 was made in many variants. An
: variant was the Valjoux 72C (also known as the 723) which was a
: day, date , month moonphase chronograph. This only became known
: as the Valjoux 88 in later years.
: It is entirely possible that Heuer used this movement (72C/723) in
: a alternative case, either earlier or later than the usual
: suspects.

You mixe and confuse everthing.

- the first triple calendar chronograph had a Valjoux VZHC ( only from September 1943 till 1944/45 )
- the second triple calendar chronograph had a Valjoux 72C (only from end of 1945 till 1951) Heuer movement numbers 50xxxx
- the third triple calendar chronograph had a Valjoux 723 in the 1060th, not a Valjoux 72C, and small subdials

-the first Valjoux 88 was used in 1947, Heuer movement numbers 55xxxx

all these early 1940th and begin of 1950th Heuers had 3 big subdials

the first Valjoux 72 tri-compax without calendar was made in 1940 (Valjoux VZH 1938) i think Heuer movement numbers 43xxxx till 45xxxx

if your watch have a bridge with movement number 40xxxx, it is a bridge of a Valjoux 23, not a Valjoux 72, not a Valjoux 72C and not a Valjoux 88

and also your case number 62xxxx is too early for a Valjoux 88, it is a case for a Valjoux 72C

if the dial is original Heuer, it must be a dial after 1962

so your watch may have a lot original Heuer parts, but a Franken of different years, movement of a non-Heuer Valjoux 88 with an original Heuer bridge of a Valjoux 23, case of an original Valjoux 72C Heuer, dial maybe original Heuer, but after 1951, a real fakers masterpiece.

PS.: the tri-compax Valjoux 72 movements in the 1962 Autavias were 20 years old movements from the old Heuer stock of the 1040th, not movements from 1962
