Oh, that could be some good fun -- Defendant is visiting New York City for some high brow watch event, and plaintiff serves him with the papers, right then and there. Everyone is horrified, from maître d all the way down to the busboy . . . but the plaintiff giggles just thinking about it!!
This assumes that there is some previous connection to New York, for example, prior meetings between the parties there, presence of the defendant there, delivery of watches, etc.
