He was willing to pull the auction based on pricing, but it was one of those things where I didn't love the condition of the lume and was happy to sit on the sidelines and just see where the market valued Geometers. I've been after one for a while (since a 2915 Speedy is out of my price range), but they never come up for sale.

As we all know, there's not necessarily a direct link between extremely rare and extremely valuable. As of the initial day of listing, he'd already received an off-eBay offer of $4.5K, so I'm guessing that he ended up just north of that (plus the delta in no listing fees).
