Personally I never relume the hands unless the lume is missing. I would rather originality over "making it look better".
Once you relume, its impossible to go back...so its best to avoid this unless the lume is missing. I have never re-lumed the dial, even when lume is missing.
But ultimately thats a personal decision. But IMO, if you dont like the look of the original lume, then dont buy the piece. There will always be another one.
