So, in a moment of over-exuberance, I committed to this purported 7734. After careful study (which should've conducted sooner), I now have my doubts. I put it to the group for honest evaluation - what's going on with this Camaro?
Firstly, I've never seen another red dial. Secondly, A 7734 should have a date, but the seller could have simply mislabeled a 7733. More disconcerting: The markers are too broad; the tachy has odd little circles where the lume should be, and I can't quite match the tachy markers to any other dial I've seen; the hands are squared instead of arrows at the end; the subs aren’t inset like they should be; and the subdial hands aren’t thin and straight.
The movement and case check out, but I can't get around the issues with the dial. Would love to hear the experts' opinions . . .
