A simple point -- just because a watch is rare does mean that this rarity will translate to value.
The "Poor Man's" Ref 2547 chronographs always sell at a deep discount to the Heuer branded models, whether we are looking at a Zodiac or a Clebar. While Glycine is a well-known brand to vintage watch enthusiasts, we can expect it to sell at or below the price of the Zodiac and Clebar models. I mean, how many collectors do you know who specialize in Glycine, Zodiac or Clebar? They are not exactly Patek, Vaechron and Rolex.
And my Memphis? It is "one-of-one" in our community of collectors. But it stands as further proof that just because it is rare, that does not mean that it has much value.

: It's ridiculous to compare a simple quartz watch with a Carrera 12
