: And, yes, this is another reason that vintage Heuer has been struggling recently. Other than the Fragment Carrera and a couple of Autavia LEs, what have we seen from TAG Heuer to generate interest in the vintage models? Hope springs eternal, and with the new management team and Basel ahead, let's hope for better things ahead.
Jeff, why would the new management team want to generate interest in vintage models? Their job is to sell new watches.
If releasing “re-issues” accomplishes this, all well and good but as far as I can tell, the Autavia 02 hasn’t been a runaway success, with huge discounts readily available.
Contrast to Rolex who can release the same model year after year with different coloured bezels and have huge wait lists and scalpers asking double retail...
