Jeff,
I believe the sky is falling and the end is near so you had better start sending some of your nicer pieces to me right now while I will still pay pennies on the dollar for them!!
But seriously summer is always a slow time. As someone with an interest also in Omega I believe that Heuer prices have cooled off less than Omega's. With the exception of anything with a cal. 321. These now seem to be the Omega chrono of choice. What say you Chuck, my Omega mentor?
Would you agree that this "market correction" is also more model specific than for the overall brand? There are three McQueen 1133B's on auciton right now with the lowest buy-it-now being $3500. I also think the Bunds have been bringing more $$ than before.
My two most recent sales experiences lead me to believe that there are still new folks getting into vintage Heuers. This new demand should off set the slump from seasoned collectors who have completed their collections.
Myabe we could get a show of hands from those who have purchased thier first Heuer in the last 12 months and which model it is?
Best,
Mike
