Re: Jo Siffert @ LeMans
In Response To: Jo Siffert @ LeMans ()

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the photos. Is there also a nice shot in the film showing McQueen with his Monaco?

I inherited my father's Monaco after he passed away and I had it redone by TAG-Heuer.It was the only thing that was left to me, thanks to a greedy wife (he was re-married). It looks mint again.

Only when I found out that Mcqueen wore this watch in Le Mans I understood why my father had bought it ( I was 10 then)in 1970. He was a rally driver for a hobby and also a big Mcqueen fan.All pieces fell into place for me when I realised this. Apart from the stunning impression the watch makes to me, it has a real sentimental value for me now. From this my Heuer interest( Monaco, Autavia, Carrera) and collection developed.
Would really appreciate if such such a shot would be available although I know it is difficult.I am sure I am not the only one you would do a great favor!

Ron
