These Easy Riders had a terrible reputation for quality. To hear the old-timers tell the story, they were sent back to Heuer for repair as quickly as Heuer could sell them. Because the repairs were rarely successful, most of them ended up being thrown away and replaced. A huge problem for Heuer / Sears / everyone involved.
