our best expert here in the US -- a watchmaker who joined Heuer in the early 1960's and retired just a few years ago -- had never heard of this "Kingon". He also remarked that the "Ed. Heuer" engraving inside the back cover was very crude looking, and that he did not believe that Heuer would have issued anything with this sort of engraving.

. . . so it remains a mystery.
