Dato 45 answers
In Response To: Re: Carrera 45 dato ()

Hi,

Carrera Dato 45 is one of the rarer Heuer watches and one of the prettiest. The movement used was a Landeron 189 which is a manual wind chronograph, column wheel with date. This watch is one of the earliest chronographs with a date wheel. The movement being manual means that it does not have a quick set date function. So 'yes' you do have to wind the hour hand a full 24 hours to change the date forward.

The watch has two dial colours, matt black and silver sunburts with two date positions, top and left of centre.

hope that helps!

Regards

Alistair
