Seems Odd, But I Viewed as Buying Caliber 12 . . .

maybe not the usual way of thinking about buying a watch, but I thought of it as buying a classic movement, "displayed" in a nice looking case, with a neat dial. I'm a big fan of the Caliber 12 / Chronomatic movements; whoever designed this case nailed the proper "look and feel" for the movement, IMHO.

The build quality of this Guinand watch is impressive, at least through the first day of operation!!

This one left me thinking, "why didn't TAG-Heuer do something like this, rather than the short-lived Autavia re-issue?"
