Abel - It's so obviously 1924 !
Your grandfather was born in 1921 and was 3 at the time.
As for the first question it was the Movado. You wore a double cufff shirt with cufflinks and the Monacos/Montreal are to chunky to go under the cuff when worn with cuff links.

Nb - why does the young fellow on the right of the pic have one arm longer than the other ? was he partial to wearing a pocket watch on his left wrist ?
