Re: So Let's Ask the Question: What is Current FMV for Monac

Gentlemen, my current market observations would be 7500$ for a polished case and backcase, shadows and some blemishes on the dial or subdials (possibly 95% of the Monacos would fall in this category, Monacos were not always as popular as today hence not very cared for during their lifecycles) 10000$ for a mint one with no seal problem, backcase grinding still intact, matching patina on luminous dots and hands, light surface scratches and finally 12000 to 14000$ for a new old stock one with no seal-dial problem. Good ones which were never messed up are really getting very rare. Top quality pieces are easier to sell as the market is very dry on these and most collectors are becomming experts and want top end pieces rather than cheaper chunk.
Any views ?
Cheers
Arno
