Recasing Series 100 Diver ? ? ?

I am not an expert in these Series 100 watches, but I would be very surprised if a screw-down crown could be retrofitted to the current case. I am guessing that what you would really be doing would be switching out (replacing) the case. I'm not sure how replacing the case would affect the value; my guess, is that this would not have a significant impact on the value, up or down.

So enjoy it as is, or customize it, as you see fit!!

: I have a 2 tone 1000series diver. It is an early model and does not
: have a screwdown crown. Can a screwed crown be retrofitted? Does
: the watch have a value that would keep me from wanting to do
: that? Every other 1000 I have seen has a screwed crown. Does
: anyone have production #s or other details about this watch?
