Jeff posted a link before to the new, Limited edition "Cal. 11" Monaco. I found a bit more information on this and other versions of the Monaco planned for the 40th Anniversary.

1) A new line of "Cal. 12" Classic Chronographs. Tag have re-designed the dial from the existing black Monaco that are on sale, and sound like there is a new silver and blue model coming. I recall seeing this dial being tested when we visited Tag Heuer last May. This will be the first of the Monaco Chronograohs with a Sapphire crystal and see-through case back. Photo below

2) The LE Cal. 11 Monaco. Not much more info than Jeff reported, but will be signed by Jack Heuer on the caseback. Am intrigued that Tag have once again decided to issue a watch with only Heuer. This practice seemed to have ended when LVMH bought the company (The Autavia and Targa Florio watches were branded "Tag Heuer", while the earlier re-editions were "Heuer" only).

The key differences between the LE Monaco and the standard blue Tag Heuer Monaco that I can see are as follows:
- Subdial hands are black (Red on the standard model)
- Horizontal hour indexes (Vertical/ angled)
- Red hour markers (None)
- Hand and Minute hands tipped red with red insert (Silver)
- Crown on the LHS (RHS)
- Silver date surround (no date surround)
- Sub-dial markings are different
- Black "Corfam" style strap (Blue Croc strap)
- And of course, "Heuer" on the dial

Can't be sure, but it also looks like the shade of blue will be closer to the matt finish of the latter 1133B Monaco's than the current Tag Heuer Monaco blue.

Anyway, am looking forward to seeing one of the 40th Anniversary Monaco watches, although fear that they'll be close in price to a nice 1133B!!
