One question: is your source for the "one of twelve" information reliable/credible? I say this because my retired SS friend didn't indicate any kind of "limited availability". He simply went to the on-line catalog and ordered them with a credit card.

The watches are "limited", in the sense that you must be a SS employee to be eligible to purchase from the SS Gift catalog; however, I don't believe there is any limit on the number available. We'll see - if I'm right, then we'll start to see a flood of them on ebay. I just noticed there's another one with correct logo on ebay already. I suspect that it's just a matter of time before someone colludes with an SS employee "insider" to supply them in quantity. From what I've heard, ANY Secret Service employee, not just Agents, are eligible to purchase - that includes secretaries, I/T people, etc.. I'm hoping that the SS Administration will put some kind of cap on this to prevent runaway greed. Maybe "One per household".

Obligatory Heuer content: I've got a brilliant idea! The heuer community should give Obama a "Barack Camaro" (black face). Then just sit back and watch the prices eclipse the early carreras.
