Each to their own! I always felt that tension ring aping the first Carrera with the non-contrast internal Tachy scale made the pre-production dial look cluttered. Whereas the production model takes its inspiration very clearly from one watch (hello 1153 S, are you feeling flattered?!) rather than mixing its influences and, I think, is the better for it.

I own one of thse and think it's the best resolved of the re-issues and like it a lot. I probably still would if it looked like the pre-production model, but I'm happy they went for the re-design :)
